My first project done after learning Octane in C4D, around Halloween. I modeled, lit, and textured everything from scratch.

The ghost was tricky, since modelling isn't my skill set. I ended using a capsule object as a base, extruding the arms, eyes, and some sections on the bottom, and rounding everything with a Subdivision Surface.

I also modeled the lamppost and tombstone and brought them all into one scene, where I set up Octane lights and cameras. The lighting is fairly simple, with only a fill and rim light, plus the lamps and ghosts also illuminating the scene. The materials are pretty simple as well.

The sequence was rendered out as EXR files, and comped in After Effects. I added the stars, did a color pass, added haze and vignetting, and other tweaks. You can see the C4D render vs the final look below.
